Sarah examines the interaction of fine art, craftsmanship and the female experience within artistic eras to fuel her creative process. Her attention to construction utilizes curvilinear pattern-cutting and tailored volume to move around and with the feminine form, not to define or constrain it. Her designs are constructed in richly-colored natural fabrics treated with care and luxury, every closure and finishing meticulous, interiors as beautifully considered as exteriors. She empowers feminine design through the application of historic reference to assert garment-making as a form of engineering, creating clothes that are highly-crafted, thoughtful and one-of-a-kind.

Following graduation, she was chosen to represent Kent State as one of seven national finalists to create an eveningwear collection for the 10th Anniversary of the Supima Design Competition, shown at Pier 59 Studios for NYFW, and at the Petit Palais for Paris Fashion Week, and featured in Vogue Italia
